Linda Fitzhugh, 73, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away in peace on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Hospice Home Care, of lung cancer. Born May 9, 1944. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Fitzhugh and her adoptive parents Verda Grimmette and Wymbert Grimmette. Linda graduated from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Religion. Linda began work in costuming during college, moving onto Murry's Dinner Playhouse and ultimately to major film productions throughout the state of Arkansas. Highlights of her costuming career include working with Antonio Banderas, Hal Holbrook and Raymond Burr. She lived in Denver, Colorado while working on The Perry Mason TV movie series. Antiquing was her lifelong hobby. She remained active with her love of swimming throughout her life. She ultimately retired from UAMS, where she worked in the physical therapy department teaching aquatic aerobic classes. She is survived by Rose Fitzhugh-Back, her daughter, Eddie Back, her son-in-law and Cimba Back, her grand-dog all of Little Rock, Arkansas. Her family and friends from the Hays Center, Carries Antique Mall, Geyer Springs Methodist Church and her Hillcrest neighborhood will remember her for her optimism, strength & her vibrant life, always. A memorial minyan will gather at 71 Robinwood Drive Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 5 p.m., officiated by Rabbi Barry Block. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.
