Velma Gene Haller Patterson, age 84, of Stuttgart, departed earthly life on May 8, 2018. She was born on July 22, 1933 to the late Raymond and Thelma Jones Haller. She married Ralph Dwight Patterson on February 20, 1953 and devoted the rest of her life to the support of his farming career and the care and nurture of her family. She was a member of the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church where she was an active participant in United Methodist Women Circle 2 and was a greeter for many years. Velma is survived by one daughter, Sandra Flynn and her husband Michael of Sherwood; one granddaughter, Becky Flynn of Little Rock; two sisters, Katherine Cruthis of Roe and Jane Wright and husband Vaughn of Ozan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Patterson; her parents, Raymond and Thelma Jones Haller; and two brothers, Bobby Haller and Billy Haller. The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home, 1107 W. 22nd Street, Stuttgart, with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. and burial to follow at Lone Tree Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Fox Ridge Assisted Living in North Little Rock and Baptist Health Hospice for the loving care they provided to Velma.
