Gloria Joan Jones

Gloria Joan Penrod Jones (Joann), 80, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018. Joann was born April 25, 1938, in Beebe, Arkansas, to the late Levi and Nola Penrod. She was of the Methodist faith. Ms. Jo, as she was known to her coworkers, retired from the Test Lab at Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. In 1995, she was named AECI Employee of the Year. Joann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Gary M. Jones; two brothers, Marshall and Carl Penrod; and three sisters, Janet Davis, Wilda Beal, and Valeria Beard. She is survived by her son, Doug Jones (Sandy) of Little Rock, her daughter Teresa Glenn (Jonathan) of Conway; her granddaughters, Danielle Barker (Brett) of Shawnee, Kansas, Stephanie Whitehead (Josh) of Scott, and Natalie Jones (Matt) of Little Rock; her grandson Gavin (Kellie) of Conway; ger great granddaughter Evelyn Barker; and her many nieces and nephews … and many grandpets and great grandpets—especially Puma.
