Charles Edward Dorey of Barry County, Mo. went home to be with his Lord on May 16, 2018. He was born on March 1, 1938 in Dolph, Ark. to the late Arthur and Hazel Dorey. Charles will be remembered as a hard-working Christian man. He overcame a difficult life and made the most of what he had. He worked in maintenance at Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers, retiring after 38 years. He was a member of House of God church in Rogers, where he loved to sing. He played and enjoyed bluegrass music, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking in the beauty of God's creation. His survivors include Connie, his beloved wife of 32 years; adopted son, Kenneth Rusher; stepchildren, Debbie Roller, David Hayworth, Ray Hayworth; grandchildren, Jeremy Hayworth, Jessica Thomas, Keith Hayworth; several great-grandchildren, and siblings, Helen Dillard, Bud "Arthur" Dorey, Paul Dorey, Maxine Segal, and Geraldine Nickel. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Roy Trantum, Evelyn Wood, Rosalie Browning, Mary Cash, Francis Dillard; and a grandson, Colton Hayworth. All are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Rollins Funeral Home, with burial following in Pace Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.RollinsFuneral.com.
