Betty Baucom, age 90, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Fayetteville. She was born July 5, 1927, in Rogers, Arkansas, the daughter of Jess K. and Edith Huff Wilson. She was the granddaughter of James and Ethel Johnson and William A. and Lillie Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Blanche Wilson Emmons; her husband, Bruce William Baucom; a son, Larry Michael Roberts; a daughter, Deborah Jean Jenkins; and six siblings, Ann Walker, Pat Wilson, Bob Wilson, J. R. Bowen, Jack Bowen and Billy Bowen. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Betty was an avid sports fan and loved her St. Louis Cardinals, the Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Mavericks and the Gonzaga Bulldogs. She was known for cooking her famous rolls and brown beans. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Baucom Bassett of Fayetteville; two sons, Steve Baucom of Rogers and Ronnie Baucom of Fayetteville; a stepson, Bobby Bruce Baucom (Maurene); two sisters, Linda Sloan (Burse) of Goshen and Jessie Cowan of Fayetteville; a brother, Nick Wilson (Denise) of Fayetteville; thirteen grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, at Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
