Glynda Lee Nobles

Glynda Lee Nobles, age 80, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Her husband, Jim Nobles, parents, Bert & Verma Flowers, her son, James Reynold Nobles III, and a brother, Dennis Flowers preceded her in death. Glynda was born on August 12, 1937 in Alma, Arkansas; she was the oldest child of Bert & Verma Flowers. She would marry her soul mate Jim Nobles on August 31, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville and have 4 children with him. She was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, where she attended regularly as health permitted. Glynda was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. "Nurse Glynda" had a knack for taking care of those around her and making everyone feel special. People knew her especially well for her sweet and loving personality. She also loved to travel with her family; and was especially fond of visiting the gulf coast. She was a gifted artist of numerous mediums and was in the art club for many years. Many witnessed her beautiful voice when she sang in church choir for several years and performed in several plays throughout her life. Glynda is survived by her three daughters: Kimberly Stanek, Susan (McMillen) and Bobby Peden, and Nicole and Andy Lukavich; four sisters: Donna and Hugh Higginbotham, Marcia and Bob Nida, Linda Goad and Barbara and Gary Rains; six grandchildren: James Seth Nobles, Tanner and Kinzi McMillen, Jordan Stanek, Trenton Stanek, Anna Logan, and Phoebe Lukavich; and two great-granddaughters: Carlei Nobles and Blakely McMillen. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri with the Reverend David Collum officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the United Methodist Church, 105 E. Division, Bolivar, Missouri 65613.
