James Charles Reynolds Richards, "Jim", of Nob Hill, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the age of 79 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born September 20, 1938, in Evanston, Wyoming, to Charles and Myrtle (Reynolds) Richards. He grew up in southern California, graduating from Helix High School, La Mesa, California. After serving in the Navy, Jim received a nursing degree from L.A. Valley College in 1974. He began his Registered Nursing career in California before moving to Oregon, working at Eugene Hospital & Clinic, Cottage Grove Hospital and Lane Community College before retiring in 2000 and moving to Nob Hill, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jim. He is survived by his partner of 34 years and wife of 21 years Marsha Boyers, daughters Juanita Richards of Moses Lake, Wash. and Debbie Richards of Campo, Calif.; daughter-in-law Corie Miller of Rosamond, Calif.; sister Phyllis Trujillo and her husband Robert of Rolling Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his brother by another mother, Eric Haenn of Eugene, Ore. Jim loved good music, good food, and good friends. He especially enjoyed the friends from Oregon Country Fair where Jim volunteered for 20 plus years. He was always up for giving good hugs and going on road trips. Special thanks for care giver Lisette Cuenca of Good Shepherd Senior Care, North Hills Life Care & Rehab, and Circle of Life Hospice for their care and affection to both Jim and Marsha during Jim's journey with dementia. No services will be held. Jim's body was donated to science. In his memory, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
