Catherine Marie Berry, 73, passed away May 24th, 2018.  She was born on June 17th, 1944 in Pine Bluff, Ark. She was the older child of Robert and Sophie Fore.  She was a graduate of McCrory High School in McCrory, Ark. Cathy received her BSE in 1965 from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark. In 1969, she married Allen Berry. They raised two children, Gregory and Emily in Sherwood, Ark. Cathy was a high school history teacher in her early career and also worked for the Central Arkansas Library System. Cathy was of Methodist faith and, along with her husband Allen, was a long-time member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church in Sherwood, Ark. She was an avid reader, enjoyed arts and crafts, playing the piano, and was a member of the hand bell choir. She was also a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Sophie Fore; and her husband of forty-seven years Allen Berry. She is survived by one daughter Emily Hall (Michael) of Germantown, Tenn.: son, Gregory Berry of Memphis, Tenn. Cathy is also survived by one grandson, Joey Taylor; one brother Bob Fore (Fleeta); two nieces and two nephews. Collierville Funeral Home has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, June 1st, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Germantown United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Village of Germantown for their gentle and attentive care during Cathy's stay. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Memphis Chapter, 699 Oakleaf Office Ln, Memphis, Tenn. 38117.
