Edgardo "Eddie" Angtuaco

Dr. Edgardo "Eddie" Angtuaco, 69, of Little Rock passed away on May 28, 2018. He was born on February 22, 1949 in Manila, Philippines, to Drs. Buenaventura and Susana Angtuaco. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his younger brothers, Enrico and Erlando. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Dr. Teresita "Terry" Angtuaco; his children, Dr. Michael Angtuaco (Melissa) and Christine Clarkson (Robert); and his granddaughters, Gabriella, Bella Maria, and Katarina Angtuaco, in addition to Christine's baby due later this year. He is also survived by two brothers and three sisters. As a husband, a father, and a grandfather, Eddie was a devoted and loving family man, for whom nothing was more important than the happiness and wellbeing of his loved ones. Though he accomplished many things in his life, he considered his children and grandchildren his greatest achievement and counted himself blessed to have had so many years to share with them. He loved to play games with them and to hear their laughter when he told one of his many corny jokes. He was always dreaming and loved to sing, whether as a church choir member or in karaoke with his granddaughters. A lifelong Roman Catholic, he also loved to attend Mass and pray for his family and friends. "Dr. Eddie" proudly served on the faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for 39 years as a neuroradiologist and had been the Division Chief of Neuroradiology for many years. He cared greatly for UAMS and for all the patients he has served over the years. He was also honored to have played a role in the education of hundreds of resident and fellow physicians at UAMS and will be remembered through this professional legacy. A visitation will take place at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home on Friday, June 1 from 6-8 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church on Saturday, June 2 at 1:30 p.m. A private inurnment at the Christ the King columbarium will occur at a later time. In lieu of flowers, Eddie's family asks for memorial contributions to the Mt. Grace Convent in St. Louis, Missouri, or to the Diner Family Endowment for Radiology Resident Education at UAMS.
