Patricia Mary Boggs, 71, of Cabot passed away after a long illness. She was born January 20, 1947 in Beacon, New York to the late Theodore and Lillian Rogers Van Vlack. She went to join the Lord and her family that predeceased her. She had a big heart and helped everyone. During her lifetime she was involved in the community as a 4-H leader, a search and rescue K-9 volunteer with the police department, and other search units for eighteen years. Her search unit produced over 200 finds and helped police in solving several murders. Pat and her K-9 partners, Magic and Fox, found a drowning victim in 161 feet of water. Pat went on searches and donated her time regardless of what time of day or weather. Pat was a breeder of Schipperkes and a historian of bloodlines. She trained numerous dogs and then donated them to people who needed service dogs. She was also active in local dog training clubs as an instructor, as well as competing in conformation, rally, obedience, and agility. The family encourages you to visit Pat's website, Dreamers Haven at www.sarschips.net to learn more about her and the animals she devoted so much of her time loving and training. Pat requested donations be made to your local search and rescue K-9 units. Mrs. Boggs is survived by her husband of 48 years, Raymond Boggs; children, Melissa Hamilton of Ashville, North Carolina and Michelle Boggs of Oklahoma and one grandchild, Toni Boggs of Louisville, Kentucky.  Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday June 1, 2018 at Moore 's Cabot Funeral Home, 700 North 2nd St., Cabot, Arkansas, (501) 843-5816.
