Roger Wayne Davenport Sr.

Roger Wayne Davenport Sr., age 83, of Austin passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Little Rock. He was born on May 17, 1935 to the late Lester and Helen Moore Davenport. After serving in the National Guard, Roger spent his career working in the trucking industry. He left from Jones Trucking as their Assistant Terminal Manager. In 1988 he married Charl Ann Wilson Davenport and in 1998 he built her Ann's Flower Shop. Roger delivered flowers for the flower shop and took pride in every arrangement Charl Ann made. In his spare time Roger loved to deer hunt and he and his wife enjoyed the occasional trip with their son, Jerry Paul. Roger is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 North J.P. Wright Loop Road (501-982-2136). Interment will be private.
