Bulah Virginia Jones

Bulah Virginia (Mitchell) Jones, 91, passed away in White County Hospital with her family by her side. Born in White County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Henrietta (Jeffries) Mitchell. She resided in White County most of her life, was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Bald Knob, and retired from General Industries. She married her husband, Eugene Franklin Jones on January 29, 1943. She was 16 and he was 17. They were married 66 years before he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters; Mary Ann Johnston, Lorene Thomas, Roxy Crisler and Pearlie Mae Wilcox; infant brother and her daughters Treasia Ann Lloyd and Rebecca Willette Mason. Survived by her son Ricky (Tanya) and her grandchildren; Katrenia Huntsman, Lucinda Harvey (Doug), Genger Hamrick, Danny Mason, and Joshua Jones (Denise). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, four great–great-grandchildren, countless extended family members and numerous friends. The family would like to thank Anita Jackson, Linda Lindsey, and Teresa Williams for all they did for her just because they loved her. Visitation: Saturday, 6–8 p.m. Services: Sunday, September 9, 2018, 3 p.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Shady Grove Cemetery.
