Mansford Fay Harriman

Mansford Fay Harriman, 89, of Springdale, died Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was born July 6, 1929 in Japton to George Newton and Etta Louisa Spurlock Harriman. Fay was honorably discharged from the Army after serving in the Korean War. He was then employed by Jones Trucking for 31 years as a diesel mechanic. Fay was a member of the Pleasant Street Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, and was devoted to his family. Fay is survived by his wife, Nellie "Nell" Harriman; one son, Terry Harriman and wife Donna of Springdale; one granddaughter, Kala Rath and husband David; and twin great-granddaughters, Maggie and Blair Rath, all of Fayetteville. Fay was preceded in death by two brothers, Nolen Harriman and Ray Harriman, and three sisters, Zora Harriman, Joy Dell Harriman, and Nola Reed. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 10, at Pleasant Street Church of Christ with internment at Mount Olive Cemetery in Elkins at 2 p.m. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home, online obituary at www.heritageofnwa.com.
