Peggy Newton

Peggy Newton, 84, of Stuttgart, widow of Freddie Newton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. Peggy was born Oct. 9, 1933, in Pine Bluff to Cecil and Helen Jacks Owen. She and her husband where owners/operators of Freddie's Bar-B-Q in Stuttgart for several years. She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Danni Jo Bueker and Marci Berry; and grandson, Benjamin Joseph Bueker. Survivors are three daughters, Rica (Shelby) Ponder of Springdale, Genia (Dean Oliver) Newton of Stuttgart and Amy (Chris) Duch of Jonesboro; brother, Larry Owen of Camden; son-in-law, Chris Bueker of Stuttgart; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dee Stayton, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Tree Cemetery Chapel. The family suggests memorials to Circle of Life, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ark. 72762.
