Annette Evans, age 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018. She was born August 23, 1927, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Dallas Brenton and Bessie (Gavin) Brenton. She was the widow of William Frank Evans to whom she had been married for 52 years. She was a graduate of Little Rock Junior College. While in high school she began a career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Little Rock and retired after 35 years. She was also a long time member of Southwestern Bell Pioneers. Annette was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville where she was an active volunteer for community meals. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Pettus and husband Lamar of Fayetteville; two sisters, Margaret Stinson and husband Louis of Bauxite, and Wadene Brenton and wife Barbara Koontz of Lutz, Florida; one brother, Gene Brenton and wife Nancy of Bauxite; three grandchildren, Evan L. Pettus and wife Kirsten of Montgomery, Alabama, Carrie Pettus Davis and husband Matthew of Tallahassee, Florida, and S. Chase Pettus and wife Jillian of Rogers; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Reverend J.
