Police say a man was critically injured Friday afternoon in a drive-by shooting on 12th Street.

Little Rock Police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said police were alerted about 4 p.m. to a shooting report at 12th Street between Harrison and Tyler streets. Upon arrival, Davis said, police found a black male victim slumped in the driver's seat of a white Cadillac suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound.

Davis said a red sport utility vehicle and the Cadillac had turned out of Madison Heights Apartments onto 12th Street when a gunman on the passenger side of the SUV fired at the Cadillac. Witnesses said four black men were in the SUV, and the shooting victim was the only occupant of the Cadillac, according to Davis.

The victim's injuries are believed to be life-threatening, Davis said.
