UAM executive earns promotion

The University of Arkansas at Monticello has named an assistant vice chancellor for academic affairs.

Crystal Halley, who was working at the university as director of academic advising, will take on the new role. Halley will start today and earn $78,000 annually, the university said.

A graduate of the university, Halley has worked there since 2007 in the advising director position, according to a news release. She is also an adjunct instructor in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the School of Business and the Division of General Studies.

Halley also takes part in numerous groups on campus, including leading the university's advisement-report revision work team, the news release states.
