This makes no sense; Richardson left the UA under other than honorable circumstances. He filed the lawsuit that brought unfavorable publicity to the flagship University. If the person in his position was other than a black man, no such consideration would be forthcoming. This black history month is wearing thin.

It's about time Nolan got the recognition he so richly deserves. Frank Broyles forced Nolan' hand, Nolan had to do what he had to do to protect his integrity. He's a proud black man. I got no problem with his name being on the court.

honesthap i don't think you should make such negative comments about a coach who put ARKANSAS on the map not just the UofA. I agree with TravisBickle that Frank Broyles had gotten old and unwise at the end of Nolan's tenure which led to disagreements. This man is in the Hall of Fame!!! If this does not happen then it leaves no doubt ugly still exist at higher level education institutions bc of thoughts and people like you. And by the way this has nothing top do with Black History month so that statement alone tells all who reads your comments that you are an slick undercover hater your own self.

Nolan left the basketball program in shambles, was overpaid, and then sued for more. He is not an honorable man.

I am undecided on this as of now. Here are my random thoughts. Eddie Sutton was the one who actually pulled UA BB out of the cellar and put them on the map and then decided to crawl to Kentucky. Nolan was a great coach and he and Pitino and Wimp Sanderson pretty much transformed college BB into an up tempo game during their days at Arkansas, Kentucky and Alabama. I think Nolan's beef was with Broyles, two huge egos, and I don't reallly understand why you would turn around and sue an employer who gave you a great opportunity where you made millions from your salary and shoe contracts.
