Friday's Games
Springdale Har-Ber 12, Olathe (Kan.) South 0
The Wildcats got a dominating pitching performance in a shutout Friday at Tyson Park.
Landon McAlister earned the win, going four innings and allowing four hits with four strikeouts. Leighton Alexander pitched one inning and allowed one hit.
The Wildcats had eight hits but benefitted from 12 walks. Blake Adams homered and drove in two runs.
Har-Ber will hit the road this week to Memphis for a spring break road trip. The Wildcats will take on Christian Brothers on Monday and Briarcrest Christian on Tuesday.
Springdale High 12, Crossett 2
Sabino Nino was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to a run-rule victory on Friday at Tyson Park.
The Bulldogs (8-2) scored three runs in the second and fourth innings and three Springdale pitchers nailed down the win.
Alex Bowers was also 3-for-3 with two RBIs for the Bulldogs.
Webb City, Mo. 9, Bentonville High 1
Webb City erupted for five runs in the first inning and went on to defeated Bentonville in nonconference action at Webb City.
Bentonville (3-2) was limited to three hits in the loss and avoided being shut out in the seventh. Harrison Campbell led off the inning with a single and later scored when Nathan Lyons grounded into a fielder's choice.
The Tigers head to Florida for their spring break and will play at 4 p.m. Central time Monday against Mustang, Okla., at Pensacola Beach.
Thursday's Games
FS Northside 9, LR Central 4
The Grizzlies won their first game of the season by taking advantage of five Little Rock Central errors.
Jackson Scrivner went the distance for Northside (1-9) and allowed nine hits with three strikeouts and just one walk.
Scrivner helped his own cause, going 3-for-4 with a double. Grant Johnson had an RBI double and Bobby Rauch had two RBIs.
Charleston 4, Waldron 3
Joe Huck's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning capped a three-run rally as the Tigers walked-off Waldron in 3A/4A District 4 action Thursday.
Waldron led 3-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh. Dalton Curtis walked to open the inning and Kaden Benge singled with one out. Brett Ward belted a two-run double to tie the game at 3-3. A balk moved courtesy runner Jaidon Jetton to third and Huck's single ended the game.
Ward was 3-for-4 and two RBIs for Charleston (4-1) and Huck also drove in two runs. Ward pitched 1.1 perfect innings to get the win.
Greenwood 6, El Dorado 0
Connor Noland allowed one hit and struck out 12 as the Bulldogs blanked El Dorado on Thursday.
Noland needed just 97 pitches and threw 64 for strikes as the Arkansas signee dominated.
Jackson Webb was 2-for-3 with a triple, and Jake Smith had a two-run double for the Bulldogs. Colton Sagely and Brandon Woolsey each had two hits.
Prairie Grove 13, West Fork 0 (5)
Three Tigers pitchers combined on a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a run-rule win.
Jadin Higgins was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Kyle Fidler and Silas Myane also had two RBIs.
Trent Harderson had West Fork's only hit.
Broken Arrow, Okla. 13, Rogers Heritage 0
Broken Arrow jumped in front with an eight-run first inning and never looked back in its nonconference game against Rogers Heritage on Thursday.
The War Eagles (1-8) managed just one hit in the five-inning game. That was a double by Dylan Qualls leading off the top of the fourth inning.
Cabot 9, FS Southside 2
A six-run fifth inning was all Cabot needed to down Fort Smith Southside in 7A-Central action Thursday.
The Panthers led 3-2 before the big inning as Brodey Schluter and Southside's Stratton Whittington were dominating.
Austin Scritchfield, Houston King and Rail Gilliam each had a double for Cabot and Gilliam drove in three runs.
For Southside, Mac Moody belted a two-run homer.
Wednesday's Game
Bentonville West 17, Siloam Springs 6
Joey Aden's two-run home run capped a string of 15 unanswered runs as West came from behind to defeat Siloam Springs in nonconference action at the Wolverine Athletic Complex.
The Wolverines (6-2) trailed 6-2 going into the bottom of the second inning before tying the game with two in the second and two in the third. West then blew the game open with a six-run fifth, highlighted by Kendall Thornton's two-run double and Jason Gloeckler's bases-clearing double, before Aden's second home run of the season capped a five-run sixth.
Gloeckler had two hits and drove in four runs, while Aden added two hits and three RBIs. Hunter Mayes pitched 4.1 innings of relief and picked up the win for West, which will play in a spring break tournament in Little Rock next week.
PREP SOFTBALL
Friday's Game
Bentonville West 15, Lincoln 0
Emma Wood threw a one-hitter through four innings, while Alyssa Cordell and Anna Griffin each hit a two-run home run in West's rout of Lincoln during the Farmington Invitational.
The Lady Wolverines (4-1) already led 12-0 when Wood allowed her only hit to lead off the fourth inning.
Cordell and Griffin homered as part of a six-run outburst in the third. Hallie Wacaser had four hits, falling a home run short of the cycle, and scored four times while Honesty Holt had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in three runs.
Thursday's Games
Charleston 4, Waldron 1
Lacey McKenzie pitched a three-hitter and struck out eight as the Lady Tigers claimed a 3A/4A District 4 win Thursday.
Mackenzie Biggers was 2-for-3 for Charleston, and Stormy French drove in two runs.
Ashton Young was 2-for-3 for Waldron.
Farmington 10, Clarksville 0
Camryn Journagan and Madeline Gardenhire hit home runs to help Farmington past Clarksville.
McKenzi Bogan (3-1) struck out seven and allowed two hits. Bogan and Carley Antwine each had three hits for the Lady Cardinals (6-2).
Elkins 16, West Fork 8
The Lady Elks belted 15 hits and rolled over West Fork on Thursday.
Sarah Parrish and Lyndsey Dugan did most of the damage for Elkins. Dugan was 3-for-5 with a double and five RBIs, and Parrish was 3-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and four RBIs. Sophia Hollingsworth was 4-for-5 with a double, and Lakyn Whelpley homered and drove in two runs.
Jessica Miller was 2-for-4 with a double for West Fork, and Calli Long was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Kyndalle Reed was 2-for-4 and Cassidy Vanhook drove in two runs.
Gentry 17, Green Forest 2
The Lady Pioneers had the bats going in a rout of Green Forest on Thursday.
Meledy Owens, Lynzey Sikes, Harley Stanfield, Carissa Goosens, Alexis Droddy and Mandy Barber all had two hits each for Gentry. Goosens and Barber drove in four runs each.
Raegan Jude earned the win in the circle, allowing three hits with three strikeouts.
Wednesday's Game
Springdale Har-Ber 11, Springdale High 1
Two Lady Wildcats pitchers combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts as Har-Ber run-ruled Springdale on Wednesday.
Cearra McPherson went four innings to earn the win, allowing two hits with nine strikeouts.
Har-Ber belted 13 hits. McPherson and Shelby Swaffar each doubled. McPherson and Emily Bartlett each drove in two runs.
BOYS SOCCER
Decatur 2, Subiaco Academy 0
Jason Gomez accounted for all the scoring Thursday night as Decatur defeated Subiaco in a 4A-1 Conference match.
Gomez scored a goal in each half for the Bulldogs.
