A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Little Rock early Thursday has died, state police said.
The incident happened shortly before 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Chicot Road and Yarberry Lane.
A 2012 Audi was headed south on Chicot when it struck a female who was lying in the road, according to a preliminary report. The individual who suffered fatal injuries was not identified.
The report did not state why the person was lying in the road.
Authorities said it was raining at the time.
