Authorities: Little Rock teen wounded in drive-by shooting

A Little Rock teen said he "blacked out" after being struck in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday, police said.

Officers were called to Baptist Health Medical Center shortly before 3:30 a.m.

The 19-year-old victim told authorities that he was in the 9200 block of Chicot Road when he saw two "muzzle flashes" after someone in a nearby gray vehicle rolled down a window. According to a report from the city's Police Department, the teen then started to run and was shot in the back.

He said he didn't remember anything else because he "blacked out," officers noted, adding that police were unable to find a crime scene.

The teen was shot in the right shoulder and released from the hospital after speaking to detectives, according to authorities.

No suspects were named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
