George L. Cole

George Lawrence Cole, 74 of Little Rock, went to be with his Heavenly father on Wednesday, October 13, 2010; he was born March 27, 1936 at East End. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey C. Cole and Ellen Strom Cole, also three brothers, Harvis, Travis, & Jimmy Cole all of East End. Survivors include one sister, Evelyn Blass of Little Rock and several nieces and nephews. George was a devout Christian and loved to quote scriptures by memory ( as he was blind) to everyone who visited him . He took great pride in the fact that he could recite the entire chapter of Romans 8- his favorite chapter. A special thanks to his team of caregiver's from the V.A. Hospital of whom he loved very much, also the membership of Heritage Baptist Temple for their love and concern for the many years he was bedfast. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Heritage Baptist Temple, 4910 Stagecoach Rd., conducted by Bro. James Stapleton and Pastor Bobby Creel – memorials may be made to the church building fund. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery in East End, under the direction of Huson Funeral Home of Little Rock.
