Christine Tubbs Clark

Christine Tubbs Clark of Sheridan, Ark. was born March 18, 1923 at Farmerville, La., the daughter of the late Billy and Susie Thomas Tubbs. She was one of the oldest living members of First Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a retired licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Clark died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 87. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Clark; sons, Donald E. Clark and Mark A. Clark and siblings, Mary Lee Daniels, Eugene Tubbs and Lavaughan Tubbs. Survivors include her sons, William L. Clark of Sheridan and Dennis C. Clark of Little Rock; brother, Kenneth Dale Tubbs of Farmerville, La.; sisters, Ocile Yevick of Hot Springs, Evelyn Nairn of Prattsville and Billie Sue Herman of Marble Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Scott Clark and Crystal Woods, both of Sheridan and Joshua Aaron Clark and Allie Elizabeth Clark, both of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Ashley Clark, Autumn Clark and William Clark Cole, all of Sheridan. Graveside funeral services at Little Rock National Cemetery will be announced. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 17, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
