Helen Louise Cheek Fielder, age 73, of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at her home. She was born February 4, 1937 in Hummoke, Arkansas to the late Lee and Millie Ann Cheek. She graduated from England High School in 1955. On April 4, 1956 she married Oscar Fielder in Greenville, Mississippi. Mrs. Fielder was employed for over ten years with Winegartens Grocery. She was also the manager at Ideal Pawn Shop in North Little Rock for several years. Mrs. Fielder was a member of Cross Covenant Church in Lonoke. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford Lyons, Jimmy and Frank Cheek; sister, Mary Jean Cheek. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Fielder of Jacksonville; two sons, Richard Fielder of Oakland, California; Randy (Dawn) Fielder of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Mandi (Brian) Massie of Cabot, Tami (Jim) Jackson of Brookeland, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Ava and Emma Massie, J.J. and Jayden Jackson; sister, Kay (Bob) Choate of Bossier City, Louisiana. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Ron Denton, Chris Garner and Robert Wirges officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. She was known by most people as "Sweet Helen."
