Jean Hendrix

Jean Hendrix, 87, of Osceola passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Born in Memphis on June 1, 1923 to the late Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Brooks, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Osceola. A former sales clerk with Sears for 10 years, she also worked as Mississippi County Court Clerk for ten years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred Hendrix Sr. She is survived by two sons, Allen Wesley Hendrix of Cordova, Tenn., Fred Hendrix Jr. (Janet) of Osceola, Ark.; two daughters, Susan Dillard (Wayne), and Venecia Hendrix, both of Osceola, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Carey Hendrix, Hyde Park, Utah, Angie Culp (Bob), Nashville, Tenn., Fred Hendrix III (Kim), Osceola, Ark., Ricky Jones Jr. (Tiffany), Manila, Ark., Lori Davis, Largo, Fla., Frank Hendrix (Catherine), Atlanta, Ga., Craig Hendrix (Lauren), Paragould, Ark., Gina Craig (David), Walls, Miss., and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30 at First Baptist Church in Osceola, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 31 at First Baptist Church in Osceola, Ark., followed by interment at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens under the direction Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
