William George Williamson, Jr.

William George Williamson Jr., 74, a resident of Hot Springs, Ark., died last Sunday March 27th. Born October 4, 1936, Bill was raised in Little Rock, and received his early education in Little Rock city schools and attended LRCHS. He completed his high school education at Baylor Military School in Chattanooga, Tenn. He also attended the University of Mississippi at Oxford. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.G. Williamson, Sr. and Margret Young Valentine of Little Rock. His grandparents were the late Mark Valentine and Margret Young Valentine of Galloway, Ark. In addition to family, Bill was fond of being with friends growing up in Little Rock and loved music from the 40's and 50' and Swing dancing. He had several careers in his lifetime as a radio announcer and salesman with local stations in Arkansas and Louisiana, and was a salesman with the former Jimmy Karam, a Little Rock clothier. Bill lived in several cities in Texas and Louisiana while pursuing a career in sales, but Arkansas was always "home." He was retired at the time of death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pepi Tiller-Webster, of Biloxi, Miss. and Mrs. Stephanie Mixon of Lake Charles, La. and two brothers, Mark V. Williamson of Little Rock and Robert Y. Williamson of Asheville, N.C. Bill's passion was football and other sports; he was especially fond of watching the Razorback games and professional football.
