JAMES A. "BUD" DOZIER, 81, of Mabelvale died April 30, 2011. He was born Aug. 14, 1929 in Lonoke County, Arkansas, the son of Emmett L. and Alice V. Hurt Dozier. A member of Edgewood Missionary Baptist Church, he was a veteran of the Korean War and a baker for Wonder Bread for 34 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and his 1929 Model A Sports Coupe. Preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Clara Mae Wall, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lola Jones Dozier, two sons, Lynn and Arthur Dozier, and a daughter, Cindy Henson and her husband David, all of Mabelvale, a brother, Curtis Dozier of Afton, Okla., seven grandchildren, Tony Lynn Zuber, Amanda Dozier, Jessica McGowan, Sunny Allen, Nathan Dozier, Torrie Jones and Geoffrey Dozier and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock, (501) 661-9111 with Bro. Raymond Mashburn and Bro. Jason Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home.
