Joyce M. Bly Pennington

Mrs. Joyce M. Bly Pennington, 80, of Hamburg, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Stonegate Villa Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Pennington was a native of Big Spring, Texas and a resident of Hamburg and the Milo Community since 1963. She was a homemaker and a Tupperware Representative. She was a member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader for many years. She was one of the Founders of the Trinity Christian Academy and a foster Grandparent there. She loved serving the Lord, cooking and serving the community. She is preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Pennington in 2008; her parents, Wallace & Rose Shaw Bly; a sister, Nelda Rose Grant; three brothers, Wallace Bly Jr., Connie Ray Bly and Harry Lee Bly. She is survived by two sons, Micky Pennington and wife, Gail, of Lake Village and Rick Pennington and wife, Donna, of Bastrop, La.; a daughter, Vickie Stafford and husband, Jimmy Don, of Crossett; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday at the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the church.
