Amanda Kaye Rundell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 4, 1980 at Little Rock, the daughter of Billy Joe and Charlotte Smith Rundell. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and had a passion for performing. She enjoyed singing, dancing, playing guitar, and acting. In fact, for a time, she was a dancer and singer for Holland America Cruise Lines. Amanda was a radiology technologist for Community Hospital in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Sheridan High School and received her formal education from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and her radiology training from Metro-Tech in Oklahoma City. She was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Amanda loved to be an encouragement to everyone she met and had an infectious laugh that would brighten anyone's day. Amanda died Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the age of 31. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grover and Ruby Hedden Smith. Survivors include her parents, B.J. and Charlotte Rundell of Sheridan; fiancé, Justin Higgins and his daughter, Taylor of Oklahoma City; grandparents, Hazel and Charles Rundell of Sheridan and Mary Lou and Harold Greenhill of Dewitt; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and a special friend, her dog Gizzy. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan with Darlene Carter and Dehaan Thornton officiating.
