MARTHA FRANCES WYNNS, 99, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. She was born June 28, 1912, in Yazoo County, Miss., and moved to Arkansas as a young woman, where she attended beauty school and married her husband, Finas Noble Wynns. Mrs. Wynns was a gentle Southern lady and, through her strong faith, she was an inspiration to her children and entire family. She always made time to listen, encourage, and advise in a most loving manner. She loved sewing, quilting, and cooking, and could often be found in prayer, reading her Bible. She was a faithful member of the Ambassador Class of The First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock, Ark. Mrs. Wynns is survived by her son, Edward Newton Wynns, of Carlisle, Ark.; and her daughter, Carolyn Sue Harvey (Roger) of Peoria, Ariz.; two grandchildren: Martha Gayle Rice (Bill) of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and Carolyn Maria Messner (Scott) of Moorpark, Calif.; and four great-grandchildren: Aubrie and Ellie Rice, and Katie and Aaron Messner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Finas Noble Wynns, her 12 brothers and sisters, and her parents, Alice and Frank Renfroe. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Sherwood Nursing Home who tenderly cared for Mrs. Wynns for over nine years. Funeral service will be held at the Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, North Little Rock at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011. Reverend Ben Jordan, officiating.
