Mr. Marvin Ray Morris 79, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at his home. He was born November 11, 1932 at Fulbright, Texas to the late Orvis M. and Thelma J. (Adams) Morris. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean War, retired from E.I. Dupont in Memphis, Tennessee as an electrician, moved to Fairfield Bay from Memphis in 1994, member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, member of Knights of Columbus was a 4th Degree Knight, and his hobbies were golfing and fishing and an avid reader of non-fiction and history books and a World War II buff. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Stephen Ray Morris. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Annette (Baker) Morris, two children, Patricia Rose Brown of Shreveport, La.; and Gary Ray Morris of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren, Kimberly Shea Fox and husband Jonathan of Shreveport, La.; Erin Nicole Barber and husband James of Shreveport La.; Cori Janelle Melcher of Shreveport, La.; Robert Mitchell Morris and wife Jessica of Southaven, Miss.; and Bradley Reaves and wife Sarah of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Frank Roost, Pat Barone, Tom Lang, Norb Rumps, Ben Heimann, and Mike Fields. Visitation will be 6 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 and Rosary/Prayer Service will follow at 7 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Fairfield Bay, Ark. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father. Oliver Ochieze, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow U.S. Navy Military Honors at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery Edgemont, Ark.
