Walter John Carlson

Walter John Carlson, 88, of Marion, Ark. died July 30, 2012. Mr. Carlson was born on September 27, 1923 in Fergus Falls, Minn. He was a Farmer and a Banker. He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Carlson, parents, Walter Charles and Emma Christine Carlson; and sisters, Ruth Scott, Viola Alpe and Eunice Cole. Survivors include his son, Walter "Buddy" Carlson of West Memphis, Ark.; daughters, Lois Ann Bryant of Carlisle, Ark. and Nancy Cupp of Paragould, Ark.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Rogers of Hernando, Miss.; and brothers, Ralph Carlson of Lehi, Ark. and William Carlson of Lehi, Ark. A visitation will be from 9 till 10 a.m. at Marion First United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Crittenden Memorial Park with Rev.
