Beuron Richard Esch

BEURON RICHARD ESCH, 96, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012. He was born on Oct. 5, 1915, in McKenzie, Tenn., to Gus Enloe and Eva Moore Esch. He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers, Joe, James, Jack, and Andrew Esch. He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Clarine Barker Esch, and his three children, Bill Esch (Sarah) of Overland Park, Kan., Barbara Mills (Dennis) of Little Rock, Ark., and Brian Esch (Paige) of Franklin, Tenn. He adored his six grandchildren, Richard and Brad Esch, Hunter and Emily Clair Mills, and Carmen and Andrew Esch; and his two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Dylan Esch. Soon after WWII ended, Beuron and Clarine moved to North Little Rock, where they raised their family, and he worked in sales and management positions for several Little Rock area businesses, including Karcher Candy Company, Life of Georgia Insurance Company, and Red Crown Laundry Services. He was a very active, faithful member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ in North Little Rock, where he diligently served as a Sunday School teacher and for nearly 40 years as a deacon. He was devoted to providing weekly communion services at worship and for shut-ins. Each year for four decades at the Arkansas State Fair, he enjoyed volunteering at their church's booth to provide registrations for Bible correspondence courses. Beuron was an avid enthusiast of WWII history, Big Band era and country western music, baseball, fishing and camping, and the Razorbacks. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400 with Mr. Oran Burt officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
