Comedian/Hypnotist J Medicine Hat, (Jent Allan Monk), 51 of Benton, passed away on Aug. 13, 2012 with his loving wife and family by his side. Jent was born on Sept. 21, 1960 to Earl and Bonnie Monk in Sioux City, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Monk and his son, Cody Monk. Jent is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Monk; mother, Bonnie Sparks (Larry); three daughters, Jennifer Monk, Kelsie Jones (Jared) and Lauren Monk; granddaughter, Liberty Monk; one sister, Angie Lambert (Jerry); one brother, Kent Monk (Nancy) and a host of extended family and friends. Jent spent the last 28 years traveling the country on the Comedy trail, making us laugh until we cried. He touched many people in many ways over his travels, he never met a stranger and he didn't have a pretentious bone in his body. Once you met him you couldn't help but to like him. To all his fans "Hat Heads," which he loved, thanks for all your support and Love of our favorite comedian over the years. We will all miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
