Lucille Marie Kordsmeier, age 74, of Morrilton, joined her heavenly father on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012. She was born on May 18, 1938 in Morrilton. She was the 12th child of the late Carl and Catherine Miller Kordsmeier. Following her graduation of Sacred Heart High School she joined the Air Force and served as a flight attendant with MATS (Military Air Transport Service). Afterwards, she joined her brother Herbert as his office manager at Morrilton Plumbing and Heating until her retirement. She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and an enthusiastic choir member all of her adult life. She was also involved in the UACCM Community Choir. She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society. After retirement she was a faithful member of the St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary "Pink Ladies" and the Holy Family Mission. For years she cared for her parents and devoted her adult life to caring for her father Carl, and then her mother Catherine for 16 years following her father's death. The church was the center of her life and in addition to her daily commitment of living out her Catholic faith; she was a strong proponent of supporting those dedicated to religious orders. She vehemently supported every form of human life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Carl, Nick, Cyril, Msgr. Charles, Herbert, Bill and Gerald. She is survived by Emil "Doc" (Helen) and Martin (Bernadine) of Conway, Margaret (Herman) Baechle of Spring, Texas, and Martha Lemonds of Springfield, Ore., and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris officiating. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Rosary following at 7 p.m. The Altar Society will have a Rosary at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harris Chapel. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Morrilton, Ark. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
