Rose Marie Clay

ROSE MARIE CLAY, age 84, of Sherwood, passed away on Aug. 16, 2012 in Little Rock, Ark. She was one of four children born to parents Louis and Linzy DeSalvo in Center Ridge, Ark. born on May 9, 1928. She married J.C. Clay in Little Rock on Sept. 11, 1948. They had two children. She attended Catholic Point High School and was a longtime resident of Sherwood. Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. Rose will be remembered by her children, Jerry W. Clay and his wife Chris, Sharon Clay Brown and her husband Brent; two grandchildren, Jeremy Clay and Christopher Brown. She is also survived by her brother, Alex DeSalvo and her sister, Lucille Rains. Rose is preceded in death by her Husband J.C. Clay and one sister, Josephine Strasner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, located at: 7724 Landers Road in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock, on J.F.K.
