Doris Dean

Doris Dean, 93, of Hot Springs died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. She was born on June 10, 1919 in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late William R. Hargis and Bess Watkins Hargis. She was lovingly known to her friends and family as "Dot" and Mammaw. She was a retired Southwestern Bell telephone operator. She was predeceased by her husband, William M. "Buddy" Dean, one sister, Rosemary "Dixie" Ambort and one great grandson, Colton MacKay. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Carol Dean one daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Kennith Nalls, one sister, Sallye Allen, four grandchildren, Kim Nalls, Kelley MacKay, Weston Dean and Brennan Dean and four great grandchildren, Wesley MacKay, Shelbey MacKay, Landon (Jamie) Cramer and Makenzie Cramer. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Gore officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton, Ark. at 3 p.m., Saturday. Special thanks to Dr. Neeraj Bharany and Dr. Timothy English and their staffs for their compassionate care these past years.
