Mrs. Elva E. Smith, 90, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend departed this life Wednesday afternoon, August 22, 2012 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mrs. Smith was born January 22, 1922 in Kingston, Oklahoma to James A. and Cordelia Gray McCraven. Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and was cherished by all who knew her. Her love for her children, grandchildren and all of her family members was second only to her love of the Lord. Her greatest joy was family gatherings at the holidays. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bob Smith; one daughter, Cheryl McDonald; three grandsons, Scott Green, Christopher Stroud and David Blevins and son-in-law, Harvey Blevins. Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Michael Smith of Little Rock; three daughters, Bobbie Blevins of Prescott, Donna Graham of Little Rock and Jan Rhodes (Jim) of Hope and; one son-in-law, David McDonald of Prescott and Kay Thomas of Texarkana; thirteen grandchildren, Diana Pledger (Robert) of Prescott, Gary Cearley (Pinkan) of Thailand, Leslie Smith, Becky Neighbors (Robert), Amy Bush (David) all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Missy Graham (Bobby) of Little Rock, Ricky Graham (Becky) of Texarkana, Jennifer Kennedy (Doug) of Columbia,Tenn., Jill Byrd (Dean) of Benton, Lacy McDonald of Conway, Arkansas, Tiffany Beck (Jon) and and Justin Thomas (Kate) of Texarkana, Nicholas Hammond and (Brittany) of Hope; 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Eva Lou Stanley, brother-in-law, James D. Smith (Viola), and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2012 between the hours of 6-8 p.m. in the Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott. Service will be Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Prescott Church of Christ with Bro. Neil Ridling, Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Dr. Paul Robison, interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.
