Juanita Sara Donahue Phillips of Carlisle passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the age of 85 with her family at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joe Phillips, parents Rudy and Bethel Donahue, brothers, Arnold, Harp, Bobby, James Robert, and Doyne Donahue; sisters Odell Carter and Gwendola Donahue. Survivors are sons, Billy Gene Ibbotson, Joey (Barbara) Phillips of Carlisle; daughter Vivian (Carl) Meyer of North Little Rock, sister, Mae Taylor of Shreveport, La., and brother, Jerry Donahue of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kevin and Jeff Ibbotson of Pascagoula, Miss., Pam (Parrish) Fullen of Carlisle, Scott Phillips of Kenosha, Wis., and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A special thanks to the staff at Chambers Nursing Home. She was lovingly known as Mother Hen, with all her little chickens which included the Nursing Home staff. And thank you to Brenda her Hospice caregiver. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 1 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2 at Carlisle Cemetery. The family will gather at the home of Joey Phillips, 74 Eastwood Drive, Carlisle.
