Sally McGregor Davis

Sally McGregor Davis, 71, of Pine Bluff, died in Little Rock Saturday, December 1, 2012. Born in McCrory, Arkansas on June 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Roy Cooper and Minnie Gray Morris McGregor, she was reared and educated in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, graduating from high school there. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated from Memphis State University in 1963. She taught school in Little Rock at Central High School and Southwest Junior High. She married Charles M. Davis July 29, 1964 in Cotton plant, residing San Antonio, Texas and Miami, Florida before she and Dr. Davis moved to Pine Bluff in 1972. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pine Bluff and Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Sarah Walsworth (Jamie) of Dubach, Louisiana; brother, John Morris McGregor of Roanoke, Virginia; and three grandchildren, Cooper Walsworth, Davis Walsworth, and Rubye Ann Walsworth. Graveside services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cotton Plant (Arkansas) Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son in Pine Bluff.
