Don 'Donny' Ray Wood

Don "Donny" Ray Wood, 80, of Russellville, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2012. Donny was born on August 8, 1932 to the late Grady and Margaret Wood. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Russellville. Donny worked as a self-employed fresh produce salesman in front of Leonard's Hardware Store in Russellville for many years and enjoyed mowing lawns. Donny was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Margaret Wood; his brother, Robert L. Wood Sr.; and two sisters, Dorothy G. Neugerbauer and Mary Catherine Woods. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his four nephews, Robert C. Kopp, Robert L Wood Jr., Terry Woods, and David Woods; many great and great-great-nieces and nephews; cousins, Edwin and Joyce Shinn; and his wonderful caregivers from AMCare of Russellville. Visitation will be held at Humphrey Funeral Service in Russellville on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Donny will be laid to rest at the Oakland Cemetery in Russellville on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Darrell Kobs of the St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Russellville, 500 North Cumberland Ave., Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
