Lexie Elaine Wilmoth, 92, of Bauxite, who was known to her family as "Mama Lane," passed from this life on Dec. 25, 2012 to join her beloved family members who had gone before. She was born in Saline County on Dec. 14, 1920. Mama Lane was cherished by everyone who was privileged enough to cross her path. She was famous for saying "let me love your neck" and had a special gift for making everyone she met feel special and loved. She was born and raised on the same piece of land on which she eventually passed away, and that was her wish. Home was where her heart was, and she made a special place for everyone who graced her doorstep. "The welcome mat is always out" she would say. A more loving, hard-working Christian woman has never before been made. She is survived by two sons, A. Charles (Shorty) Wilmoth (DeAnne) and J. Randle Wilmoth (Jane), grandchildren include Lori Reeves (Max) Amy Watts (James). Molly Spencer (Rob) and Jon Wilmoth, sister Lois Tipton and seven great-grandchildren, Ellen and Caroline Reeves, Alex, Emily and Sara Moushegian, and Lexie and Austin Spencer. Mama Lane was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Wilmoth, brothers, Pete Reynolds and Clyde Reynolds, her mother Lexie Reynolds, her father Frank Reynolds and granddaughter Cindy Wilmoth Moushegian. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (315-4047). Funeral service will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be sent to Bauxite Historical Association and Museum, Box 245 Bauxite, Ark. 72015 or New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 7400 Friendship Rd., Benton, Arkansas 72015.
