Jerry Alfred Kindy

Jerry Alfred Kindy, age 79, of Little Rock passed away January 2, 2012 at Madison Residential Care. He was born July 2, 1932 in Little Rock to Homer and Marguerite (Gammel) Kindy. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and he retired from Old Dominion Box Company. He was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and camping, and was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Kindy; his brother, David Kindy and his sister, Jerolyn Tucker. He is survived by his sons, James Dale Kindy and his wife, Linda of Little Rock and Nathan Wayne Kindy of Little Rock; sister, Linda McLemore of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Amy Edwards, Chad Ellis, Jodi Kindy and Courtney Sorrells; three great-grandchildren; close friend, Pat Holder of Sheridan; and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Madison Residential Care. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Redfield Cemetery with arrangements provided by Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Redfield Cemetery Association, P.O.
