Mrs. NANCY COOK CHANDLER, 56, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 after a brave battle against ALS. She was born Sept. 15, 1955 at Dallas, Texas to Allen Earl and Wanda Nell (Hallon) Cook. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jeff Chandler; four children, Rebekah Gates and husband Juston, Abby Brown and husband Luke, Joseph Chandler and wife Bethany, and Anna Grace Chandler; two grandsons, Hudson and Hamilton Gates; her mother, Wanda Cook of Tyler, Texas; brother, Tom Cook and wife Donni of Tyler, Texas; sister, Judy Mitcham and husband Gary of Tyler, Texas; sister, Sandra Dial of Bay City, Mich.; 17 nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews. Nancy graduated from high school in Winnsboro, Texas, and attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where she graduated with a BA degree in Phyical Education. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, she also was a very successful businesswoman. Nancy created CONGRATS, an advertising company, in the early 90's. She then began a career in pharmaceuticals sales, where she was constantly at the top of her profession. She won numerous awards with several different companies. Nancy was the winner of four President's Club trips with two different companies in six years! In 2011, she was awarded the National Sales Person of the Year Award with Covidien Pharmaceuticials, and they announced that from henceforth, that award would be renamed the Nancy Chandler Award for Excellence in Sales!! Nancy was a devout follower of Jesus Christ, and was a vital part of the Worship Ministry at Little Rock Church. She taught classes, sang on the Worship teams on Sundays, and mentored many young wifes and mothers in how to be a Godly influence in the lives of others. She sang with the acapella Christian group, The Joyful Noise for 20 years, which she considered to be one of the most rewarding ministries she was ever involved in. She was also involved in Community Bible Study for many years, and along with her husband, led the Teen CBS for several of those years. Graveside service and burial for the family at 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Walnut Grove Cemetery 6940 Highway 95 West Clinton, Ark. 72031. A memorial and worship service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at New Life Church, 8000 Crystal Hill Road, North Little Rock, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Nancy's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 11324 Arcade Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72212. (501) 217-0321.
