Robert Lee (Bob) Westbrook

Robert Lee (Bob) Westbrook, 89, of Batesville, Arkansas died at his home May 28, 2012. He was born July 16, 1922 to Andrew and Zula Westbrook. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Parkview Baptist Church in Batesville. Bob was a WWII veteran, having served under General George S. Patton, He received four of the five major battle stars during that time, along with other medals. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Hamilton Westbrook, sons, Andy Westbrook and wife, Carolyn of Benton, Tony Westbrook of Tenn., Bobby Westbrook of Batesville, daughter, Debbie Bennett of Tenn., brother, Floyd Westbrook and wife, Cathy of Falls Church, Virginia, eight grandchildren and five great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Pine Crest Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
