Funeral services for Charles "Charlie" Spharler, 68, of Wills Point are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point with Pastor Brandon Bachtel officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. He passed away unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon, November 25, 2012, in a Terrell hospital. Charles was born December 23, 1943, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of Clarence Ross Spharler Sr. and Helen Wood Spharler. He was raised in Pine Bluff where he graduated from Watson Chapel High School. Charlie was formerly married to Barbara Gene Hawkins on April 26, 1963 and later married Sandra Mae Edwards Clair on November 13, 1997. He was employed at Texas Instruments in Dallas for 25 years as a machinist and four years at Regal Research, retiring in 2002. Charlie lived in Garland prior to moving to Wills Point in 1980. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and cooking. Charlie never met a stranger and enjoyed taking to everyone. He managed a deer lease in Lampasas for fifty years and was a member of various bass clubs. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Shirley Marie Spharler. Survivors: wife: Sandra Spharler, of Wills Point; two daughters: Chrelle Bostic & husband, Faron, of Wills Point, Lee'a Grammar, of Dallas; step-son: Danny Clair & wife, Dana of Wills Point; two step-daughters: Connie Bernard & husband, Tim, of Wills Point, Tammy Morgan, of Wills Point; two brothers: Sonny Spharler, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Larry Joe Spharler, of Benton, Arkansas; five sisters: Betty Hughes Floyd, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Joann Bussey & husband, Jim, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Pat Baber, of Mesquite, Mary Lou Taylor, of Sherwood, Arkansas, Joyce Gotcher & husband, Jim of Zavalla; seven grandchildren: Stormy Rochelle Mayo, Jessica Bledsoe, Courtney Hopson, Robbye Bernard, Mitchell Bernard, Andy Morgan, Samantha Morgan.
