Wynona McNeely Bradley

Wynona McNeely Bradley, 75, of Russellville, died Sunday, Sept. 2 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Mrs. Bradley lived most of her adult life in Dermott and Fordyce and is best remembered for her tireless service as a volunteer in missions. She traveled with the Arkansas Baptist disaster relief unit based in Dallas County, serving thousands of hot meals in places like Ground Zero after the 9/11 WTC attacks, in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, natural disasters in Florida and Texas, and local tornado relief in Atkins and Clinton, Ark. She is also is fondly remembered for her commitment and service to the Arkansas Baptist Camp at Camp Paron, her volunteer tours at the SBC conference centers Ridgecrest, N.C., and Glorietta, N.M., and her service on the Arkansas Baptist Executive Board. In the last year of her life she worked as a mission volunteer with the Baptist conventions in Spearfish, S.D. and Casper, Wyo. Mrs. Bradley is preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Bradley, and her parents, Julian and Mayvene McNeely. She is survived by one sister, Linda Sue Sinyard of Dover, Ark.; a brother, Joe Edwin McNeely, of Desoto, Mo.; two sons, Doug Bradley of Warner Robins, Ga., and Dan Bradley of West Monroe, La.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Tanyard Cemetery near Princeton in Dallas Co. Mrs. Bradley asked that memorials be made to the Arkansas Baptist State Convention Disaster Relief Fund or Camp Paron, via the ABSC Cooperative Program.
