Jessie Lee Pruett

Jessie Lee Pruett, age 81, of Sherwood went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was born March 26, 1932 in Holcomb, Missouri to the late Oscar Lee Pruett and Ruth Belle Harrison Pruett. Mr. Pruett retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, and was a Korean War veteran. Mr. Pruett later retired as the Chief Electrician for Worthen Bank, and was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Allie Nadeen Pruett. He is survived by his son Rick Pruett and his wife Pam, grandchildren; Steven Pruett, of Jacksonville, Florida, Sarah Cantrell and her husband Dr. Michael Cantrell, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, great-grandchildren; Allie Grace Pruett, and Anna Lee Pruett, both of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a cousin Fredda Wethington of San Diego, California. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Dr. Steve Walter officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors.
