Philip D. Haun

Philip D. Haun, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born July 6, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa to the late Frank George and E. Marguerite Haun. He was a retired United States Army Colonel who served in Korea and Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn L. (Downey) Haun of Boone, Iowa, son-in-law W. Scott Van Sickle of Algonquin, Illinois, and great-grandson Elijah M. Van Sickle of Castle Rock, Colorado. He is survived by his sister Barbara E. Smith of Council Bluffs, Iowa, children; Gail L. Van Sickle of Algonquin, Illinois, Jeffrey D. Haun and his wife Mary Ann of San Antonio, Texas, and Randy S. Haun and his wife Shirley of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandchildren; Michael D. Van Sickle and his wife Jennifer of Castle Rock, Colorado, James T. Van Sickle and his wife Randi of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christopher D. Haun and his wife Kristin of Fort Hood, Texas, Patrick J. Haun and his wife Sylvia of New York City, New York, Matthew R. Haun of Dallas, Texas, and Amanda D. Haun of Little Rock, Arkansas, great-grandchildren; Cody S. Van Sickle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Austin D. and Helen L. Haun of Fort Hood, Texas, numerous other relatives, and dear friends at Parkway Village in Little Rock. Visitation will be from 2-4: p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211 (501-224-8300). Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
