Robert Q. "Bob" Richards, age 82, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013. He was born to the late John F and Lillian E. Richards in Redfield, South Dakota. Bob was an Army Veteran. He served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Dubuque Packing Company, Dubuque, Iowa and Great Plains Bag in Des Moines, Iowa and Jacksonville, Ark. Bob retired form Coating and Laminating Specialties "Bancroft", Monroe, La. After retiring he was a volunteer for 11 years at Baptist Health in North Little Rock. Bob enjoyed the interaction with the employees and other volunteers. Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church also Knights of Columbus Council #6253, American Legion Post #1000, the Rhubarb Club, and the VFW. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Canice (Grace) and his children, Steve of Texarkana, Phil (Dayna) of Ft Smith and Jan de Regnier of Des Moines; grandchildren, Tyler (Julie) and Cole; one brother, Jack (Rita) of Iowa Falls; aunt, Phyllis Jongeling of South Dakota; several uncles and a host of other family and friends. He very much appreciated CARTI, VA Palliative Care and Arkansas Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400).
